KINTSUGI
Golden lines in Japanese pottery. Kintsugi is a form of repair and an artform at the same time. Mistakes can make life more beautiful. This is the main idea behind kintsugi. Vases, plates and other types of pottery break sometimes. When this happens, they’re repaired with gold-coloured cement or glue. In theory, the breaking of a piece should make it uglier. But in practice, the pottery only becomes more beautiful.
